L’exposition Naked City vous invite à déambuler à travers une sélection de publications d’artistes qui explorent et réfléchissent sur la ville. Son titre est emprunté à un plan psychogéographique de Guy Debord (1957), lui-même inspiré par le film The Naked City de Jules Dassin (1948), ayant lui-même repris son titre du premier livre de Weegee (1945). Ces références entremêlées symbolisent bien cette exposition : un croisement de regards, à la dérive entre diverses subjectivités, cette sélection est un mélange de perspectives, dans lequel les artistes traitent de leur rapport à l’espace urbain, son évolution, son histoire, ses architectures et les interactions humaines qui s’y déroulent.

The Naked City exhibition invites you to wander through a selection of publications by artists who explore and reflect on the city. Its title is borrowed from a psychogeographic map by Guy Debord (1957), itself inspired by Jules Dassin’s film The Naked City (1948), which itself took its title from Weegee’s first book (1945). These intertwined references well symbolize this exhibition: a crossroads of gazes, drifting between diverse subjectivities, this selection is a blend of perspectives, in which artists deal with their relationship to urban space, its evolution, its history, its architectures and the human interactions that take place within it.
